Tuesday 2 pm, 27th August, 5 Chicken Group members & 1 guest met at Tyn' y Coed for the monthly meeting. The 2 day old baby guinea fowl (a keet) was introduced to everyone followed by members talking about their chickens. One of Sue's had just recovered from gape worm. Anita had two new chicks, Gillian had no problems and Michael is waiting for his brand new chicken house to be delivered. Then he is hoping to have 2 silkies and 4 ex-battery hens and hopefully my beautiful black cockerel who needs his own flock.
My 2 young hens, now free range, were well admired and the 3 adult guinea fowl put in a somewhat noisy appearance. This was followed by tea & cake.
