Summer quiz and planning

Due to August being holiday time or members coping with grandparent duties I thought numbers would be low. So instead of a field trip I booked Ruthin library room for an informal meeting which was held on Friday 23rd August, 2pm, fee £1.
Ten members attended. Richard was planning to discuss ' How to overcome the plastic problem ' but decided that could wait until we have at least 20 members present and instead discussed his plans for a group trip next year to the Jurassic Coast. This was followed by a geological quiz which was won by group member Kay Culhane. I had brought some of my favourite fossils for members to see and Richard had brought 2 wonderful specimens of fossilized fish. Our geology library books were on show and this was all followed by tea & cakes during which I asked for ideas for 2020's field trips. Hilbre Island was mentioned.
