Monthly update
Due to changes in my circumstances I can no longer attend the field trips which I have provided and enjoyed over the last 5 years. If any member would like to take over the group I will (sadly) hand it over giving any information required. Guides, speakers, fees etc. As I have said in my previous emails another way of keeping this very popular group going is that I do all the hard work. (happily.) Plan the years programme, arrange field trips & presentations, arrange the guides and the library room. As I have mentioned before it would mean a couple of members needed on each trip. We have about 6 trips. 10 minutes taking members fees, making a list of the members and handing out the lense. Then acting as backmarker. 6 trips so 12 helpers reguired. The Geo Guide would be in complete control, give the H & S talk and be in charge of any mishaps.
In August I spent time arranging an open air meeting to discuss the matter and was amazed that only 2 members attended. I have had offers from 5 members who kindly would be prepared to help. As we have over 60 members you should only be required once.
So the ball ( or fossil ) is in your court! There will not be any geology presentations this year due to flu & covid-19.
