Bird Flu Update
Hi everyone,
did you receive the news I sent to you all about Avian Flu that ANY chicken owners having to isolate their flocks from Dec 14th. so that wild birds don't have access to their water & food? Also the wild bird droppings may contain the Avian Flu virus. So here we go again. Not only have we to fight the Corona virus & the coming flu but now there is Avian Flu as well. Another poor turkey farmer is having to have his whole flock culled.
So are you all ready for a somewhat different kind of Christmas? It will be just Peter & myself plus bottles! Findlay comes home from Birmingham Uni today, Harley is at college doing technical design & Heather works so we will be keeping well clear of them. Very sad but I don't think either of us would survive the Corona virus. I can see that either just before or during the Christmas holidays that the hospital beds will be over run because everyone is out & about, eating, shopping,visiting & hugging because it's Christmas.
Charlie & Freddie the 2 guinea fowls never came home so they must have been killed. So I now have only 3 guineas, 2cocks & 2 small hens. I hope all yours are doing well.
