I've been very lucky to travel, and of course sing, with Cor Merched Edeyrnion (Corwen Ladies Choir). During a period of over twenty years we have travelled extensively. These are some of the highlights.
Spain - We sang at the cathedral in Montserrat to over a million tourists, many of them queuing to see the Black Madonna and us of course!
Ireland - We’ve been there a few times to the Celtic festival. Once, after boarding the ferry at Holyhead, we had gone more than half way when a terrific storm came and we had to return to Holyhead because …..? There was a huge hole in the ferry! We made the headlines in the Daily Post the following day!
Prague - We sang on the square near the famous clock and the black tower. Numerous concerts were given, at Nymburk for example. All were well attended.
London - We travelled to London on many occasions to enjoy different musicals and we sang at the Dome on St. David's Day.
Cardiff - We sang at the opening of the Millennium Centre.
A particular highlight was when we were invited to attend a festival in Barbados. This was possible because we had won the National Eisteddfod 12 times (a record that hasn't been broken). It is a magical place, friendly people, glorious food and the singing at the different chapels we attended was amazing. We were treated as royalty. The only downfall was that my luggage didn't arrive, but who cares when you are in such a beautiful Island!

I've also travelled with my sister:
Nice - very nice
Majorca - the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in.
Algarve - plenty of sun and sardines.
Austria - loved travelling on the cable cars, fresh air but cold up in the glacier region.
Madeira - walking the lavadas was an experience.
Greek islands - Kos went to a sponge factory and Kafalonia, friendly people.
Myrtos bay the most photographed bay in Greece.
Madrid and Toledo - not impressed with Madrid, travelled by train to Toledo, that was a different story, enjoyed every minute, such a clean and beautiful city.
Krakow - has the largest square in Europe. Visited the Xmas market.
The Salt Mines were fantastic, can't describe it in words. I recommend it to anyone that hasn't been
Iceland - went to see the Northern lights (which we didn't!).
Still a different experience, hot geysers and plenty of fountains.
We've also travelled in the old VW camper van in England and Wales and have had lots of fun.
DOES UNMAN YN DEBYG I GYMRY.

My daughter and I have been to Budapest and to see friends in Mexico and several times to see my penfriend in Holland who I have been writing to for over 50 years! If you love Tulips then the Keukenhof gardens is a must.
Finally on my special ?0th birthday a group of us went on a Med cruise. So well organised, immaculately clean, delicious food, fantastic weather and entertaining company. Well recommended.

Hope I haven't bored you too much.
