January's Chicken Meeting was held on Tuesday 21st, 2pm at Tyn' y Coed, Derwen. A very small gathering indeed. Sue was away, Anita feeling unwell and no sign or message from Michael. Luckily a friend who has hens joined us so we were three. We chatted about our various hens antics and I explained how Anita had taken my beautiful black, vicious cockerel. It had attacked me, Peter and the Amazon delivery man so it was time for him to go. She thought he would be put into place by the large flock she had, this behaviour known as Pecking Order.
Apparently it now follows her around and enjoys a stroke. Unbelievable but a great relief.
Cakes and tea were enjoyed and as usual the men joined us once they heard the kettle boiling.
