Trip to Rome and Pompeii - April 2024
u3a Group Trip to Rome, Pompeii and Herculaneum
The Belper u3a Roman History Group is planning a 7-day/6-night trip to probably the most famous Roman sites in Italy.
Leaving Sun 28th Apr 2024 from Birmingham airport to Rome, returning back from Naples to Birmingham on 4th May.
Relatives, friends and non-u3a members are welcome.
Itinerary - Three nights in Rome to visit the old centre and the famous Hadrian’s villa at Tivoli, then three nights south of Naples to visit Pompeii and Herculaneum.
The price includes qualified guides at all sites, half-board accommodation and coach transportation throughout. The two hotels are recommended by the tour agents COGO, who are experienced in organising u3a trips, and we have requested half-day tours at an easy pace.
Estimated Price: £1395 each for 2 sharing, or £1635 for a single room. Discussions are still required to finalise the itinerary and price.
Not included: Travel insurance, and transfers to and from Birmingham airport (we could book a coach for this, if everyone agrees).
