Monthly Meeting Announcements

The following announcements posted on this page are for the benefit of those members who were unable to attend the meetings. Announcements for the past two months only will be shown.

April meeting
Current Affairs group – would welcome new members. It meets on Tuesday afternoons, in person on the 2nd Tuesday, at other times by Zoom. See Jennifer/John

Discussion lunch group – Wednesday, 17 April at 10.45 for 11.00 am at the Inn at the Park

Theatre – outings are planned to streamed showings of the ballet Swan Lake on 24 April, and play Nye on 11 May. For more information, please speak to Gunilla.

Walking group – Saturday, 13 April. A linear 3-mile walk in and around Bridge of Don and Seaton Park. Meet at the Alex Collie Sports Centre at 10.00am. Sign-up sheet at the back.

Move from BB Hall – as mentioned last month, our lets here will not continue after the summer. Committee has considered a number of venues and have now narrowed down the possibilities, so we hope to be able to confirm the new venue at next month's meeting.

Nominations for the committee – with the approach of our AGM in June we will soon be sending out the usual call for nominations to the committee. Members are elected for a year at a time so please think about what you can do to help run Aberdeen u3a and consider joining the committee.

March meeting

Theatre – outings are planned to streamed showings of the opera Madame Butterfly on 26 March, ballet Swan Lake on 24 April, and play Nye on 11 May. For more information, please speak to Gunilla.

Walking group – Saturday, 9 March, at 10am. A four-mile walk in and around Hazlehead Park. Meet at the cafe at 10.00am. Sign-up sheet at the back.

Group fees for the February to June session are now due and can be paid for at the end of today's talk.

Move from BB Hall - our lets here will not continue after summer. Committee is looking at a variety of possible venues which are fairly central. Additional suggestions are welcome.
