There is the possibility of groups for walking football/netball and badminton. The centre is available 9-4 on Fridays.
These need someone willing to organise the group.
School Readers
U3A groups have always been a great partner in helping Schoolreaders with the vital support of listening to children read in school with volunteers. Schoolreaders volunteers have found that giving a little of their time every week to listen to children read has been extremely rewarding and worthwhile. For many of our volunteers it is the highlight of their week.
Schoolreaders is looking for more volunteers in Essex. The need for reading support is greater than ever after the pandemic disrupted education and 1000’s of children urgently need some help catching up with their reading.
If you are interested in going into a school to hear children read please see me on the information table as I have some leaflets.
