Blakeney Circular
Our May walk took us to the coast. We had the most beautiful day for our walk, sunny with a gentle breeze. Starting from Wiveton Downs Nature Reserve car park we walked past Wiveton Church, across the River Glaven and followed lanes to the green outside St Margarets Church at Cley. After a look around the church we took a back lane and footpath to the coast road. After walking through Cley-next-the-sea village we crossed the river again and took the coast path which runs between Cley and Blakeney, giving lovely views of the windmill and views of Blakenay as we got closer. We stopped for a very good lunch at The White Horse and then carried on along the coast path for a shortish distance before climbing up to the coast road. We followed tracks and footpaths around fields back to the nature reserve.
