U3A Indoor Bowling successes!
All bowlers of the U3A group are also members of the Brecks Indoor Bowls Club (BIBC).
Some of our group entered the BIBC Summer 2023 KO competitions achieving remarkable successes.
Jan Medcalf reached the Ladies Singles final and was unlucky not to win the title.
Jan, together with her partner, Carol Moore, played in the Ladies Pairs Final and lost by the narrowest margin possible.
Men's Pairs Wally Boldock and Cliff Goddard had a challenging final too, with both teams going into the final end sharing equal points.
In a tense finish, Wally and Cliff survived the pressures, becoming deserved winners.
Congratulations to all our U3A finalists and winners - they are great ambassadors for Thetford's U3A!
