Tenterden u3a’s record of 2020 - 2021
At the start of the pandemic, the committee decided to keep a Journal which would provide a record of this unprecedented time and how they and the members coped with the situation within the Tenterden community and the wider world. At the beginning, we thought that it would all be over in a matter of a few short months. It was not to be.
A political time-line provides a context for the events in Tenterden. The Chairman’s diary records how our members were supported and how adjustments were made to enable as many activities as possible to continue.
Informed by the on-line communications from St Mildred’s Church, in the form of a daily post, and the weekly editions of My Tenterden, community news throughout the period is provided.
Finally, and most importantly, the individual voices of members are heard as everyone made their own journey until all restrictions were lifted on 19 July 2021.
