What a beautiful autumn 5 mile walk enjoyed by all of us. An undemanding ramble through typical Berkshire countryside took us along quiet country lanes, through woodland and across open farmland. The Elstree School from where the walk starts was founded over 150 years ago and moved to its present location from Elstree in 1939. The Benedictine Douai Abbey can be seen in the distance at various points of the walk.
