When You Join Our u3a

To help integrate you into the u3a, we hold regular meetings for new members at Number 8, the community arts centre in Pershore High Street. You will receive an invitation to join members of the committee for a cup of tea or coffee and to hear about the u3a and how to get the most from it. The main focus is on Interest Groups and how to join them, but it is also a great opportunity to meet other new members, who perhaps may be interested in joining the same groups as you. If you joined our u3a a few months ago and haven't received your new members' invitation, you can email the New Members Contact for an update.

We also offer a "buddy" system for new members who would like to attend Monthly Meetings, but are a little apprehensive of going on their own. Email the New Members Contact, or just go along to a Monthly Meeting and speak to one of the Committee (look out for their blue u3a lanyards), and you will be put in touch with a "buddy" who will sit with you during the meeting.

If you are thinking of joining an Interest Group, you can get in touch with the Group Leader who will tell you whether there are spaces available and, if you wish, arrange for you attend a meeting to try it out. Groups are usually quite small and in the past, members have commented on how easy they have found it to join in, even if they go to the first meeting on their own.
