Who can join?
U3A membership is not related to a specific age but to a period in life, the third age. Anyone not in full time employment can join. There is no lower age limit.
How can I join?
You can come to our monthly Social meeting held on the third Wednesday of each month at 10am St Mary's Catholic Church Hall, Clodgey Lane.
What does it cost?
£14.00 is our basic annual fee for 2022/23 due on 1st June.
This fee includes a £3.50 membership fee paid to our national organisation, The Third Age Trust, which provides a wide range of services and benefits, including liability insurance cover. If you wish to receive the u3a Trust magazine four times per year, the fee will be £17.00.
What does my membership include?
- Monthly Social Meetings with various speakers, details of which are on the Events page.
- Various Group events to learn, discuss and share knowledge and skills. There may be a small charge for some groups depending whether they need to hire a room.
- A monthly Newsletter keeping you in touch with what has been happening in the past month and giving details on upcoming events in the various groups.
- An opportunity to make new friends and learn new skills.
