TABLE TENNIS

The table tennis and short mat bowls take place in the same large hall at Kingswood Community Centre, Alberta Close, between 10.30 and 12.30 every Wednesday. Players of all abilities are welcome, including absolute beginners.

For the table tennis, there are usually two tables up and the number attending varies between four and eight players. We play singles and/or doubles, swapping partners and occasionally taking a welcome turn at sitting out and watching. It is a very informal and friendly atmosphere.

Halfway through the session we all troop into the cafe for a cup of tea or coffee which is included in the weekly charge of £1.50 paid for the hall.

Members can chop and change between the tennis and bowls, changing after the break or doing one or other on different weeks if they so wish.

All equipment is provided, though players who have them, can bring their own table tennis bats (or woods for bowls). Please wear a pair of flat shoes that won't damage the mats.
There is currently a waiting list operating so please see the group leader before coming along with a view to joining us - we'd love to see you!
