October 2023 ride to Framilode
October's ride was blessed with beautiful autumn sunshine, although the wind was chilly.
We started with a pleasant ride along the canal past Hempsted and Quedgely to the Pilot Inn. Resisting the urge to stop for an early beer we pressed on along the lanes through Longney and Epney then finally to the Ship Inn in Framilode.
The weather was good enough for us to enjoy sitting outside on the covered decking and basking in the sunshine while we had lunch.
We returned the same way but now with the breeze blowing us along which didn't feel anywhere near as chilly as before.
