November 2023 ride to Ashleworth

Late November may not be the best time of year for an outdoor activity but the social cyclists are a tough breed and nine braved the cold.

We crossed Alney Island then the main road at Maisemore and headed to Hartpury.

Half the group retreated to the Royal Exchange before frostbite set in, while the remainder soldiered on to the excellent Ashleworth Hub. Hot food was very welcome, and believe it or not we all had a good time.

Heading back we re-grouped at Hartpury where the Royal Exchange rebels were most disgruntled to be dragged away before having the chance to order dessert.

Total distance about 13 miles.
