Norwood U3A is a small group of like-minded people who come together to enjoy a variety of activities and informal lifelong learning alongside their U3A friends. New members always comment on how friendly and welcoming we are.
Our programme of activities reflects what our members want to do and we review it with them regularly. Most of our get-togethers are held in the function room of The Park Tavern just opposite the lovely Norwood Park. Regular monthly features are seeing and discussing films (usually at Brixton's iconic Ritzy Picturehouse), art and crafts, creative writing, poetry reading, monthly general meetings with either a speaker or a quiz/raffle to raise funds for charity, a regular monthly “Uganda” tea provided by someone who volunteers to host it and gather funds for a village in Uganda. We enjoy a variety of walks in places of interest in London and visits to museums, art galleries and historic buildings.
Making the most of your leisure time after retirement is such an important element in keeping active mentally and physically. Just get in touch and come and try one of our sessions – you can count on a warm welcome! Use the contacts tab above or visit our website at https://u3asites.org.uk/norwood/welcome
