This page aims to keep Members up-to-date with decisions and activities relating to the organisation as a whole, containing:
- Recent Newsletters (reports of recent activities and information on upcoming events)
- Minutes of recent meetings of the Committee and the most recent AGM
- The U3A and Glenfield U3A policies that guide decisions of the Committee
It also aims to inform the Membership about external projects that members are involved in and want support for, as well as charity activity and fundraising.
Information relating to individual groups can be found in the Groups section of the site.
It is NOT able to take adverts for items for sale or any commercial activity, which if required can go on the notice boards at the monthly meeting.

Countesthorpe Hand Bell Ringing Invitation
I'm Pat Hillyard, Coordinator for the Countesthorpe U3A Handbell Ringing Group and would like to invite any interested member to come along to try out the activity. We meet on Wednesday afternoons from 2 to 4 at Countetshorpe Methodist Church.

Community Film Evenings
We are pleased to announce that the lifting of coronavirus restrictions means we are able to resume our popular community cinema at the Parish Hall, Leicester Forest East.
Our showings are the first Thursday of every month (except July and August).
The films we will feature are displayed on the Parish notice boards and local magazines (e.g. The Local).
There is no need to book, we are not a club, and we welcome everybody from the wider community. Just turn up on the night!
Venue: the Parish Hall, Kings Drive, Leicester Forest East, LE3 3JE.
• On arrival complimentary hot drink and biscuits are provided.
• As we have no licence, please feel free to bring your own drinks.
• You also get a free raffle ticket for a double ticket prize to be used for a future showing.
Doors open at 7.00pm; showing starts at 7.30pm. Cost: £5.
Glenfield Christmas Lights and Craft Fair
Calling all Crafters
Glenfield will be switching on the Christmas Lights on 26 November 21, when Father Christmas will be present, along with his Elves, a Band and Carol singing, and a Craft Fair, which will be on the car park, you will need to bring a table/stall. Lights can be provided.
