MEMBERSHIP
Q. Who can join?
A. Anyone who is retired or semi-retired

Q. Is there an age limit?
A. There is no upper or lower age limit.

Q. Is there any geographical limitation on membership
A. No. Many members live in Garforth Kippax and surrounding areas, but some members come from further afield and all are welcome

Q. How do I join?

Q. What happens at a monthly meeting and can I attend as a non-member?
A. Certainly. Non members are very welcome to attend these popular meetings to find out all about us and to talk to interest group members. We meet the first Wednesday in the month at 1.30 pm at Garforth Working Men’s Club and have a different speaker or topic each month which is advertised on the website and Facebook.There may be a £1.00 per member charge to cover cost of the speaker.

Q How much does all this cost?
A Our annual membership fee is £15.(or an Associate Fee of £8 if they are already a member of another u3a) This enables you to attend the monthly meetings and as many interest groups as you wish. In addition, members receive a magazine from the national organisation. Each interest group has a slightly different organisation according to the subject. Some meet monthly, others weekly. Some are free or charge a small sum to cover costs.

Q. Can I start a new interest group?
A. Yes please! Contact Groups Coordinator and she will help you get started.
All you need is enthusiasm and willingness to do it!

Q. How many interest groups can I join?
A. As many as you like

Q. Can I attend an interest group before I join?
A. Yes you may attend up to two interest groups meetings before you become a member

Q. Is anybody paid to run our U3A?
A. Our U3A committee and interest groups are all run by willing volunteers
