Four Border Abbeys

New Members

Monthly Meetings

New members and prospective members are welcome to attend our monthly meetings. Click on the EVENTS button to find details of up and coming talks.

The meetings always give time for everyone to socialise. Committee members are there to greet new/potential members and to introduce you to others. It gives you an opportunity to find out about the various interest groups.

Also there is this website, which is regularly updated with all the latest information.

Interest Groups

At present we have a large number of groups established. Each is run by its members on an informal basis, with a leader/facilitator to manage the activities.
Suggestions for new groups are always welcome, particularly if someone offers to be a group leader (with support if necessary).

Members may join as many groups as they wish. If there is a waiting list then Full members will be considered before Associate members. There is no additional cost to join a group except sometimes a small fee to cover a venue charge. Groups meet at a variety of locations: local venues, members' homes or further afield depending on the group activity.

If you want to join our u3a, please download and print the Membership Application form and send it to our Membership Secretary. Or you can email them via the CONTACT page if you have any questions.

There is an annual subscription due each September, which will remain at £10 per individual for the year 2023-2024. We now have an option to Gift Aid your subscription if you wish (see attached link for more information).
