Wirral Circular Trail Walking

Wirral Circular Trail Walking Group
-----------------------------------

The Wirral Circular Trail Walking Group aims to complete the Wirral Circular Trail in easy stages. We hope to use public transport as far as practical, and walk between 3 and 6 miles each time.

The walks are generally on the first Wednesday morning of each month. For information on the Wirral Circular Trail, please look at the Visit Wirral website: The Wirral Circular Trail – VisitWirral.com.

** LAST section **

Wednesday 1st May 2024 - Parkgate to Willaston
==============================================

In May we hope to complete the Wirral Circular Trail by walking from Parkgate to Willaston.
This walk is about 3½ miles long. We will take cars to Willaston, then take the bus to Parkgate. We will basically follow the Wirral Way to Neston and on to Parkgate.

WARNING: The Wirral Way near Neston can be muddy: walking shoes or boots are recommended.

TRANSPORT
We will need cars to take us to the start and end point at Hadlow Road Station, Willaston (SatNav CH64 2UQ).
The bus stop at Willaston Green allows us to take the 09:56 Al’s Coaches 22 to Mostyn Square, Parkgate.

** IMPORTANT: There is only one bus per hour, so to catch the 09:56am bus we need to be ready to start walking from the station car park by 09:45am.

Please contact us to arrange a lift to Willaston if you need one, or if you can offer a lift to someone else.

TOILETS and CAFES
There are public toilets in Parkgate at Mostyn Square, and on Hadlow Road Station, Willaston.
There are cafes in Neston if we feel the need for a short diversion, and in Willaston at the end of the walk at both the Station Master’s House and also Peppers. There are plenty of seats at Willaston Hadlow Road station.

OFFICIAL BOOKLET
f you are following the Wirral Circular Trail information (see Wirral Circular Trail), we are on the South Wirral section, walking anti-clockwise from about point 26 to point 29.

We would be very grateful if you could let us know if you are planning to walk this section on 1st May so that we can check everyone has transport. Please contact us if you have any questions.
