Ellesmere Port

General Meeting

Our general U3A meeting is on the first Thursday of every month at 2.00pm at the Groves Social Club, Chester Road, Whitby, CH66 2NZ.

Please scroll down for details of future events.

It has now been decided that when our Members are 'car sharing' for events or outings, there will be a mileage charge of 40p per mile, per car, divided between the number of passengers in the car. This is purely to cover the cost of the fuel used

For events involving coach/minibus travel and/or prepaid tickets we will in future require deposits. Deposits will only be refunded if:
1. We can fill the place from the reserve list. or
2. The Member concerned can find a replacement.
However, where we do not incur any charge we will be able to refund that element

If you are paying by cheque it would help us if you write on the back which events you are paying for and if paying for friends as well their names too

The bank has started to test for forgeries and has recommended we do the same. Please bear with us while we test your bank notes.Thank you.

Please don't forget to check out the 'GROUPS' as there are photographs and reports on outings made by them to various places

IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR ALL MEMBERS – Could all members please remember that they are responsible for their own personal property when visiting other members’ houses or attend meetings. An unfortunate incident at another local U3A caused some problems when something was damaged, and, hopefully, this little reminder will help avoid this happening to us.

INFORMATION AND SIGN UP FOR EVENTS/OUTINGS CAN BE DONE AT OUR GENERAL MEETINGS
NON MEMBERS CANNOT ATTEND OUTINGS OR THEATRE VISITS, AS THEY ARE NOT COVERED BY OUR INSURANCE

If for some reason you need to cancel a trip before or on the day please let us know ASAP...
