Driffield & Wolds

Welcome to the Driffield and Wolds U3A

We are an activity led organisation. Please explore the website and come and join us

More than 350 people in Driffield and its surrounding villages are members of our thriving u3a, which has been running for over 10 years, and more are joining all the time.

The u3a movement is a vibrant, friendly and inclusive organisation that provides opportunities for everyone no longer in full-time work or raising a family to meet new people and enjoy exploring a wide variety of interests at low cost. There are now more than 1,000 u3as across the UK, each run independently by its own members under the umbrella of the national Third Age Trust.

Monthly talks with speakers on various topics, are currently held on the second Thursday of each month at the Driffield Community Centre.

The U3A is a network of local associations providing social, cultural and learning opportunities for retired and semi-retired people at minimal cost. There are over 1000 U3As, supported by a national organisation, the Third Age Trust, with over 375,000 members.

Activities are run by and for members, who share their interests and skills in a friendly and informal environment, often in members' own homes.

There are no obstacles to joining the U3A. All you need is spare time to learn and share social and cultural opportunities with like-minded people.
