Our main monthly meeting is held on the second Thursday of each month at the Community Centre, Mill St, Driffield YO25 6TR

You are welcome to come along and discover the many and varied activities that we offer.

Meetings begin at 2:00pm and we normally have a guest speaker. Refreshments are served.

The Gaslight Jazz Band have built up an enviable reputation since forming in 1982, and we play a wide variety of music - much more than your usual jazz band, so don't be surprised to hear Tony play Duelling Banjos (on just one Banjo!) or the Rossini William Tell Overture

Wed Dec 8thFilm GroupOur Wednesday matinee is a classic Agatha Christie mystery HERCULE POIROT'S CHRISTMAS starring David Suchet.
A festive investigation for the Belgian detective with a penchant for exercising the little grey cells. Poirot (David Suchet) is facing Christmas alone until the wealthy Simeon Lee employs him to spend the yuletide period at his home. Lee is a bitter man who believes that his family are attempting to murder him, and when he is found murdered it begins to look as though he was right. Poirot contacts his old associate Inspector Japp (Philip Jackson) - inadvertently rescuing him from Christmas with his dreaded in-laws - and the two set out to solve the crime.

Thu Jan 13thMeetingJEAN HARROD - DEADLY DIPLOMACY
Jean Harrod - a former British Diplomat who now writes crime thrillers.
The title for her talk is Deadly Diplomacy (which is the title of one of her books) She will give us an interesting varied talk of her life as a diplomat in the Foreign Office and then working in various countries. Her work has inspired her to write best selling crime thriller novels based on her own experiences.

Tony Collinson LRPS, DPAGB(AV) has involved in photography for many years. His passion is wildlife and in particular birds. and can often be found wandering around local nature reserves or at the coast with his camera.
In his presentation we will be looking at various subjects in the form of a number of short slide shows. Some will include wildlife images whilst others will tell a life story or a record an of event.
