Living History

Meeting times vary depending on the nature of the meeting and the venue. Previous visits have included the Museum of Policing in Warrington, the Ellesmere Port Boat Museum, the Jodrell Bank Radio Telescope, Chester Walls, the Williamson Tunnels, the Princes Road Synagogue in Toxteth, Liverpool. Wat Phra Singh (Temple of the Holy Lion) in Runcorn, walks round maritime Runcorn and Chester Cathedral.

Visits planned for the earlier part of 2019 include :

Thursday, 28th February 2019, visit to Media City, Salford.
Tuesday 12th March 2019, walk around Liverpool, meeting at the Town Hall.
Wednesday 10th April 2019, visit to Airbus UK, Broughton.
Tuesday 30th April 2019, visit J.W. Lees Brewery, Manchester.

A visit to Lymm Dam took place early in May. The group had a good informative walk around the Dam, Crossfield Bridge and The Avenue. This was followed by lunch at the Spread Eagle and a walk around Lymm village. In June the group enjoyed a visit to Liverpool Central Library.

On Tuesday 3d September a trip is planned to Bunbury Locks, Water Mill and St.Boniface Church.

The group have plans for a Christmas social at the Ring O'Bells pub, Frodsham on Wednesday 18th December.

Other visits in the pipeline,which we did over the Christmas period, was a trip to the top of the Liver Building and in January to the Walker Art Gallery, with visits to Sudley House and the Maritime Museum lined up, Sudley House is on the 11th of February.
Later this year a follow up trip to John Willy Lee's Brewery in Middleton is planned as last year's was highly successful a d well supported.
