Groups

This page is a brief summary of the interest groups currently on offer through Halton U3A.

You can see what day of the week the group runs and what time each session starts. Some groups meet every week, some fortnightly and others as and when the group members agree. Further detailed information about the groups are available on the individual group pages. These pages will give you the opportunity to find out more about the group, where it meets and how long sessions last for. There will also be contact details for the relevant group leader so that you can get in touch with them directly. It is advisable to contact the group leader before turning up for your first meeting to confirm the arrangements.

Groups are set up in response to the suggestions of members provided that a volunteer is willing to take responsibility for the planning and running of the group. If your particular interest is not catered for, please let us know, and we can discuss how we might get a new group off the ground. Feel free to ask any of the current group leaders about what running a group involves and you may find that it is not as daunting as you might think!

N.B. December 2021 - In view of the present uncertainty of the Covid pandemic please check with group leaders whether planned face to face meetings are taking place, especially if you are new to the group. The calendar of events is provisional and may change at very short notice. Members attending meetings in person are advised to take a lateral flow test before attending.

The committee of Halton u3a meets regularly via Zoom and is constantly considering whether group activities are safe to take place in line with both government and Third Age Trust guidelines
