Climate Change & the Environment

Bath: u3a Climate Environment Actionists

ABOUT OUR GROUP

The group meets each month to plan and undertake simple, often local, positive actions in light of the climate and environment emergencies facing us all. Each month there will be a new theme and actions to take. Members are welcome to all meetings, or to just attend those with a theme of interest to them.

We welcome enquiries from those who would like more information about the group. U3a members can contact us via the details in the Groups Directory attached to the Dec 2023 printed newsletter; others can email using the bird icon top right of this page.

UPCOMING DATES

See Bath Actionists April Update for the latest schedule of events.

Please check details of venue before each meeting. Note that no further meetings will be held at the Royal Victoria Park Pavilion Cafe Bath.

PAST EVENTS

Some past events are described here in the hope that some of the links may still be useful.

On January 31st 2024 some members walked over to visit Share and Repair Shop, George Street. We learnt about their Repair services, their How to Workshops, their Library of Things and their Volunteer Opportunities. Repair Cafes are held regularly in Weston, Larkhall, Saltford, Farmborough, Peasedown St John, Bradford on Avon, Corsham, and Bear Flat. For Repair Cafe dates and times please see Share and Repair.

Action is to repair, borrow or share items ourselves rather than buying new. In order to also encourage others to do the same, please spread the word about the Share and Repair Shop and their peripheral Cafes. If you know an u3a member who might have an item for repair or who may want help getting an item to a Repair Cafe please pass the link on, or, if able, assist them if they need help.
