Lytham St Anne's

Welcome

Welcome to the Lytham St Annes u3a. The u3a is a UK-wide organisation that aims to support people to continue their learning, interests, hobbies and social interactions when they’re no longer employed full-time. For more information on the guiding principals, please refer to Principles of the u3a.

Here in Lytham St Annes we have over 400 members who enjoy actively participating in more than 40 Interest/Activity Groups, each run by members, for members. We meet socially and to share our knowledge, experience, skills and passions. Most of our Groups meet at least once a month and are free to all members: others make a small charge, typically £3.00 or less, to cover room hire, equipment, refreshments etc.

Lytham St Annes University of the Third Age is a Registered Charity (No. 1013058) and so is regulated by the Charity Commission for England and Wales. The charity is managed by a Committee of volunteers, whom are Trustees of the charity.

As well as joining the interest groups and attending the monthly meetings, many of our members choose to volunteer to help in the running of our u3a. If you would like to find out more about these opportunities please contact one of the committee members via the Contacts page.
