Welcome to Carlisle and District u3a

Carlilse & District u3a has been a registered charity since 1999 and, like other u3as, is a member of the Third Age Trust.

We draw our members from the Carlisle are including its surrounding villages and small towns. Roughly, our catchment area lies within a 15 mile radius of Carlisle although we have members from further afield.

Our membership year runs 1 September - 31 August, it costs only £12 a year to be a member (additional small charges may be made by individual groups to cover costs).

We currently have about 665 members and about 50 separate interest / activity groups. click on the GROUPS icon to see the full list.

Most of our activities take place during daytime and many of them are FREE to members (a small charge may be made towards room hire etc)

Third Thursday Together, our monthly meeting, which includes a "guest talk" and light refreshments takes place on the 3rd Thursday of each month Please follow the Meetings and Social Activities link for details

Please spend some time looking round our web site and at what we have to offer. If you are not yet a member you could find something interesting and stimulating that could tempt you into applying to become one!
