Family History - Our Previous Meetings

Our Family History Group started 13th February 2019 and a few of us have been members of the group since then.
We normally have a talk lasting half an hour or sometimes up to an hour. We then have a general discussion sometimes about our 'Brick Walls' or other topics that will interest us.
10th April 2024 - Conrad gave a talk about DNA.
14th February 2024 - Julia explained how she searched for The Tragedy Queen and Music Hall in her family.
10th January 2024 - Allan gave a talk about Wills going back to the 16th Century and how he obtained a translation from the old English.
13th December 2023 - Each of us explained how we found matching birthdays within our Family Trees.
8th November 2023 Ann gave a talk 'A Fishy Tale' from her Family Research.
On 11th October 2023 Mike showed how he has explored the National Archives website. He also explain how he has a distant connection to Martin Amis who died earlier in 2023.
On 13th September 2023 Janet explained how an ancestor of hers left a workhouse in Derbyshire to become an Arch Deacon.
