WHAT DOES IT COST?
From April 2024 Annual subscription: £21 per Primary member and £17 for a Secondary member
A small charge is sometimes made to cover hall hire and refreshments for the interest groups.
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
Members can join as many groups as they can manage. The list is theoretically without limit because any member is entitled to set up a new interest group where one does not exist.
We have 2 guiding principles: "Each member is both learner and teacher" and "We expect members to take what they need and give what they are able". Although many of our groups are led by one person or have one tutor, it is quite normal to find leader and tutor roles shared amongst members. This both spreads the load and makes a richer experience for both tutors and learners.
A monthly newsletter is produced which includes reports of group activities.
WANT TO FIND OUT MORE?
The best way to do this is to drop into one of our general monthly meetings, speak to one of our greeters and then to one or two members. You may even sample one of our group sessions without any commitment before joining.
