Intermediate French Group
Stourbridge U3A Intermediate French Language Group
Group Purpose: To practice spoken and listening French in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Get to know people who are interested in speaking French.
Timing: 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m. Currently meeting at the home of the host.
The meeting host studied in France and has lived and worked in most of the countries in the former French West Africa between 1985 and 1995. He has also taken classes at the Alliance Française in California and taught a beginner French class at his workplace.
Approach:
Each member prepares a brief 2-4 minute presentation in French on any topic, be this an update on events in their own life, a piece of poetry or prose on topics such as French politics, art, cuisine, travel or the like.
