Overton & District

Groups

Our interest groups are organised and led by our own members and may be monthly, fortnightly, weekly or at random, 'pop-up' intervals, depending on the subject and the wishes of the group leader. They are held at accessible venues, in St Mary's Hall or alternatively at the group leader's or other member’s homes. If the hall is used there may be a small charge and in members houses we each put in £1 to cover to cost of light refreshments.
Car Sharing
We strongly support and encourage car sharing. A reminder to all members.
when group members meet in one another's homes or are offered lifts to venues, it is recommended that a contribution towards fuel cost is offered to show their appreciation to their driver.

We are always keen to start new groups. If you would like to explore a particular interest in an as yet non-existent group - let’s hear about it!
We will try our best to facilitate setting up any new groups Places in the groups are sought after so please let the organiser know if you can no longer take part. Also, if you cannot attend a meeting, try to let your group's organiser know in good time - it does make a difference! This is especially the case with lunch clubs as venues can be difficult with regard to numbers
