Macclesfield U3A is currently reviewing our constitution following revised guidance issued by the Third Aid Trust. This page shows the progress of our review.

The revision process is under way and a number of revisions have been produced, as follows:
Revised Constitution Version 0.1 - This is the document produced by Third Aid Trust reformatted to be more readable.
Revised Constitution Version 0.2 - The first updated version. This document includes marked up changes.
Revised Constitution Version 0.3 - The second updated version. This document includes marked up changes. There is also a Clean Copy Constitution Version 0.3 without markup.
Revised Constitution Version 0.4 - Updated after comments from the committee. This document includes marked up changes. There is also a Clean Copy Constitution Version 0.4 without markup.
Version 0.4 is the one to be put to the AGM for approval.
Adopted Constitution Version 1.0 - Version approved by the AGM on 19th April 2023. Subsequently approval was received from the Charities Commission on 22nd August 2023 and so the revised constitution came into effect from that date.
