BEACON News
Despite the nationwide lockdown imposed by Covid-19, work on the Beacon Upgrade Project has continued.
The Beacon Documentation Team have completed a significant piece of work to prepare the ground for the upgraded Beacon system. All of our existing Beacon user documentation has been brought into the modern Help Centre platform that will be used to deliver support to Beacon users both now and once the upgrade is delivered. 5-MAY-20
Beacon Training is suspended due to Covid-19

BEACON IS LIVE!!! 2-NOV-2019
Long Eaton & District U3A committee has decided to use this centralised database. BEACON will enable us to improve our administration processes as a charity.
Over past months our Beacon Team have been working to set up our system and input all our Members’ records into the database. The Committee will shortly be undergoing training in its use.
In future we plan to add our Finance and Group records onto the system, and eventually there will be ability to renew membership on-line. Further information on the BEACON system is available on-line on the National U3A website. https://beacon.u3a.org.uk/
18MAR19 Successful registration of our status as a charity has been confirmed. The Committee are continuing to work to finalise procedural issues relating to this change of status.
