When the computer group started some 16 years ago many of the members did not have their own computers. Everyone used the computers and internet connection at the groups’ venue, the Sixth Form College in Wingletye Lane.
Gradually members obtained their own computers but still used those at the college. Now members have laptops, tablets, and phones. The colleges’ internet connection has continued to be used but their computers only for seeking solutions to problems with members own portable devices.
The group has therefore decided that from the end of February 2018 it will no longer meet at the college thus saving the fees associated with using the college’s facilities.
Natalie is proposing that the group should now meet at her house, or other venue as may be agreed, and is seeking members views on a mutually acceptable dates and times .
Natalie will still be able to arrange internet access and also the use of computers for those who do not already have their own portable devices.
Other members of this group have also indicated their willingness to assist, possibly on a one to one basis, with any computer issues you may be having, again at some mutually agreed time and place.
Computers are now so much part of our lives and no doubt everyone would benefit from knowing more about them and associated devices such as tablets and smart phones. With the reorganisation of this groups venue, now is the time for you ALL to have your say about what you would like.
