Gateshead

Groups

There are interest groups to suit most members. All of these groups have a group leader who will give you more details about what they do. There is a page for each of the groups.

Most u3a groups are of a self-help nature. There are no "teachers" who treat you as if you were in a classroom. All of the members are interested in the subject and offer advice to each other. Often they will demonstrate something but there is no formal syllabus. It's nothing like school!

Now have a look at the list of groups and see if there is one (or more) for you.

If you are interested in any topic we currently don't cover, please get in touch and we'll see what can be done.

If you would like to join a Group for the first time, please telephone or contact the Group Leader as, very occasionally (especially in the Summer months) Groups cancel if numbers are very low due to holidays.

You MUST be a member of Gateshead u3a before joining the Ambling or Walking groups
