Urgent Message from the Chair 23rd October 2023
I have to bring to your attention a situation which if not resolved will seriously impact the ability of the committee to offer the level of performance needed to maintain Crawley u3a as a viable organisation. For the last 12 months a depleted committee has worked tirelessly to achieve the highest standards of compliance, but at the cost of delaying vital commitment to developmental activity. Frankly, we cannot continue our work without the recruitment of new committee members, and other supporting roles. I am, therefore, asking you to come forward to help, by taking on an important role. And, I should say that volunteers are particularly welcome from new members whose recent skills and experience may be particularly suited to committee and developmental work.

Update 11th November 2023 We were fortunate to be able to fill the vacant role of Vice-Chair at the AGM but we are still looking for volunteers for the roles of Events Coordinator, Systems Coordinator and Migration Webmaster. More details under Trustees below.

FAQs on being a Crawley u3a Trustee
We would be keen to recruit volunteers who are willing to take on any of the vacant roles without acting as a Trustee.
Really Useful Group (RUGs)
The group consists of members of Crawley u3a who are happy to help out ocassionally. They "met and greet" at meetings, sign members in on the register, help with refreshments, and any other ad hoc tasks.
This is not a regular commitment, just ocassional. Your name goes on a list and when help is required a note goes out to everybody and if you can help you respond. It is a good way to meet other Crawley u3a members.

Archivist To organise and maintain the Crawley u3a newsletter and document archive. If willing the holder could produce a pamphlet on the history of Crawley u3a.
