Local History 1 (LH1) plus 3 of LH2, were treated to an excellent tour round Maidstone Town Hall with Richard Ash (ex Mayor and ex MBC councillor, current Bearsted Parish Councillor) on Tuesday afternoon. People were amazed at how many rooms there are. The highlight was the reconstructed jail moved from above the meeting room when the ceiling was raised to make it look Italian.
