The committee were pleased to welcome a good number of existing members and some new members to Keene Hall again and other regular members who watched from their own homes on Zoom for our AGM. Sue and Tony Nelson and David Massey were welcomed onto the committee and Di Angel and Mary Cordiero will continue to support the new committee members who will take over their rolls later in the year.
Following the AGM Allen Buckroyd gave us a very amusing and informative presentation on his many years as a Baddow & Galleywood u3a member, and being involved with the Photography, Art Appreciation and IT groups among others. He outlined his involvement in many Interest Groups and urged members to try some of these groups where they would be warmly welcomed. The motto of the u3a is Learn, Laugh and Live and he certainly showed us how to get involved in all these aspects.
Jeff Jones followed Allen giving us information on the Early Pop Music, Quiz and Puzzle groups.
There won’t be a meeting in May due to May 1st and May 8th are Bank Holidays and there are many local activities being planned to celebrate King Charles Coronation.
