November meeting on the 26th: Fran Sandham - A solo walk across Africa

Remember to bring your membership card to the November meeting
We will be using our new card scanning system for the first time.

New Groups

Mahjong
We have a new Mahjong Group being lead by Annette de Lacy.
The initial Group has already met and will continue to meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday afternoon at 2.30 pm. If you would like to play or learn how to play please contact Annette via 'Mahjong' on the Groups page or at the main meeting.

Supper Club
We are looking to set up a second Home Dining Group which will be named “Supper Club”.
We already have a few members wishing to join the group, including Dorothy Cain who will lead the group.
To make the group viable more people are needed. It is a very good way to socialise and make new friends and you don’t have to be a cordon bleu cook. You can cheat as much as you like!
If you would like to join the group, wether you are on your own or as a couple, please contact Janice the Groups Co-ordinator via the 'Contact' page.

Yarn and Yarn
The Group's meeting day has changed from Tuesday to Monday. They will not be a meeting in September so the group will resume on Monday 14th October.

Aylsham and District U3A are now members of the Mini Scrapbox in Reepham.

This is a recycling charity run by Aylsham Churches. They recycle items that would otherwise end up in Landfill. You never know what you are going to find in the shop. Many items would suit some of our interest groups i.e. Material, cottons, wool, paper, card, needles etc etc right up to a brand new Sky HD machine, picture files for kitchen or bathroom, jigsaws.

All they ask is if you are purchasing for personal use that you have an individual membership.

If purchasing for an interest group just say you are from Aylsham U3A.

Aylsham U3A members are now able to obtain 15% discount at Woodgate Nursery, just request this at the till.  You may be asked to show your membership card so please make sure the card is up to date.
