Subscriptions for 2024

Subscriptions for 2024 remain at £20 for full membership and £5 for Group only. In order to make the process as straight-forward as possible, below you will find instructions on the various ways you can pay. The most convenient way that can be completed at any time is by bank transfer. However, if you are not familiar or are unable to use this method, you can also pay by cash or cheque.

Payment by bank transfer

Name of account: ARDEN U3A MAIN ACCOUNT

Sort Code: 30-97-78

Account 03786231

Reference: Subs {your name}

It is vital that you identify yourself uniquely in the reference, otherwise we will not know you have paid! E.g. ‘Subs A Bloggs’, or just ‘A Bloggs’.

Do NOT quote a membership number. They are obsolete at Arden u3a and mean nothing.

Payment by Cheque

There’s no problem if you want to pay by cheque, as long as you remember to (a) Pay ‘Arden U3A’ (b) sign the cheque!

Payment by Cash

Bank transfer or cheques are preferred, but cash is still allowed! Notes only, please!

Gift Aid

When paying your subscription, you should make clear your wish, or otherwise, for Arden u3a to claim Gift Aid on your membership fee. You can only offer this if you are a tax payer. We need to check your current Gift Aid status every year as it may change.

In the case of members in a married or civil partnership who might want to pay jointly, you should be absolutely clear about the tax status of both members.

· If both spouses are taxpayers, you should pay separately in your own name.

· If one spouse is a taxpayer, the other not, a joint payment for both can be paid by the taxpayer, and the gift aid will be claimed on the joint amount.

If you are unable to attend our Monday morning meetings at present but wish to pay your subs, please send a cheque to the Membership Secretary.

Finally, if you are no longer able to be a member of Arden u3a, please would you let the Membership Secretary know either by letter, phone call or email.
