Arden

Welcome

"There are no strangers here...…..only friends we have yet to meet"

Arden (Solihull) U3A is part of a national and international voluntary learning organization whose aim is life-long learning for people who are no longer in full-time work.

Arden U3A was set up in 1992 as a self-help, self-managed co-operative to provide educational, creative and leisure activities for retired or semi-retired members of the local community.

With just under 100 full-time members Arden is one of the smaller Solihull U3A groups so newcomers find that they are able to participate and make new friendships easily. Our Main (Core) Group meetings take place on Monday mornings during term time at the Bridge Club, 909 Warwick Road, Solihull B91 3EP. We are, in fact, one of the few local groups who meet weekly.

The programme includes a wide variety of talks by both guest speakers and members. It offers a friendly and social environment which encourages and welcomes the active involvement of all members.

The Study Groups (Activity Groups within Arden U3A) generally meet at monthly intervals. Dependent on the size of the group, they either meet at the Bridge Club or in a member's home.

The annual Full membership cost is £15. Activity Group only membership is also available for £5 per annum.
