D- Petanque
Pétanque is a game that has been played throughout France since the early 1900s and is more commonly known in the U.K. as Boules. It is an easy game to pick up and no experience is needed. The group meets in Glen Gardens, a small park on East Parade, Heworth. We have a wonderful group of players, enjoy ourselves immensely and look forward to welcoming new members. If you would like to join us and try the game, I’d be delighted to hear from you. We have equipment available for those who do not have their own boules.
Our normal playing days are Monday and Wednesday afternoons, and if we have enough members wanting to play, we also play on Friday afternoons.Communication amongst the group is by email or phone.
