York

O- Rambling

We walk over varying types of terrain, mainly in the Howardian Hills, Yorkshire Wolds. North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales. Members take turns to lead walks of approximately 10 miles in length. Everyone makes their own way to the starting point in time for a start at 10.30am prompt. There is a short stop for a drink during the morning and a somewhat longer one for a picnic lunch. Finishing time varies with the precise length and nature of the walk, but is normally mid-afternoon and wherever possible a tea shop is visited afterwards.

Walking boots and waterproofs are essential, and you should bring sufficient food and drink for the day. The group warmly welcomes new members, but no dogs please.

The group follows current U3A advice for Covid-safe meetings, with a risk assessment for each walk and general guidelines for group and individual practice, which all participants must observe. Car-sharing is by private arrangement.
