M- Folk Music
We are a small and enthusiastic group playing traditional English, Scottish and Irish folk music on (mainly) acoustic instruments. At present we have squeezeboxes, whistle, violin, ukulele, guitars and bass. We have been meeting at the the Clifton Sea Scout Hut on Green Lane, which offers a good space for spreading out and social distancing. We occasionally do gigs at local Care Homes. Anyone who enjoys playing good tunes in a relaxed atmosphere might like to join us. New members and new tunes are always welcome. We have a repertoire of about 50 tunes for which the Scores are stored on Dropbox and can be downloaded and printed therefrom.
The Sea Scout Hut has available free parking. It is also on the Number 19 Bus Route, or within reasonable walking distance of the Number 2/2a Rawcliffe Park and Ride route, or the Number 6 Clifton Moor - University route.
Covid Arrangements: Meetings have been suspended during the closure of the Sea Scout Hut. We will resume once they reopen - currently projected at July 19, 2021. Contact the Group Leader to sign up if you are new, or to confirm that you are a returning member.
