York

S- Facebook group

York U3A has a very active Facebook page, where over 200 members currently keep in touch, learn about our U3A activities, have fun, chat, and make friends, all in a TOTALLY safe structure. It’s like a “U3A community” within our U3A!
All U3A members are encouraged to enjoy the benefits of social networking in a safe environment – our Facebook Group is only open to York U3A members and is not accessible to the general public.
We also have social meetings which allow “Facebookers” to get to know each other face-to-face.
The group is also keen to welcome new members who may be reticent about Facebook, or have concerns, and we can advise on how to get on to Facebook (even if only to join the U3A page) and how to set the correct security settings for a Facebook account. Contact the Group Leader if you need any help! When conditions allow, we will also resume occasional face-to-face meetings.
