Films Plus via Zoom

We're running Films Plus meetings via Zoom each week. These meetings are aimed for those who would enjoy viewing and then discussing films with a friendly group. Towards the end of each week I send out the Zoom link for the discussion of the following week's film. Generally this will be one available on BBC iplayer. We meet via Zoom at 7.30pm alternating Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. You simply join in for the films you've had a chance to see and that you'd fancy discussing. Join in for as many, or as few, films as you would like. You simply need to let me know you are planning to join us on a particular meeting so that I know to let you into the discussion. If you need any advice on using Zoom I can send you a link to a YouTube video clip where a lady called Marcia explains it very slowly and carefully, and/or I can set up a 'practice' session for you. Usually when I send out the Zoom link I also send out a few suggestions of films that are showing on TV the following week that have been recommended by members.

We are a group who all enjoy watching and discussing films. At the moment we meet one evening each week to discuss one we've seen recently on TV. The group suggest films that are coming up soon, or are available on iplayer. I pick one and send out a link for the Zoom meeting which will be at 7.30pm each week, alternating Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We hope, in the autumn, to return to seeing new films at City Screen and meeting afterwards at a local bar. However, we may keep the Zoom meeting going as well. We would welcome new members. There is no obligation to come to all the meetings. Just come to the ones that interest you and fit in with your timing. We have members who come very frequently and others who join in only occasionally, those who know lots about films and those who know little. All are equally welcome.
